04/07/08. We all know David's huge hit productions like Love Is Gone, Love Dont Let Me Go and the like. But if you are a fan of his DJ sets you'll also know he has a darker side - and that the twisted, trippy sound he spins in late night sessions is just as much a part of Guetta.

Just before WMC he knocked out a filthy instrumental which caught the attention of some select DJs from other scenes - like the Glimmers, 2ManyDJs, Felix Da Housecat and Princess Superstar. We teased them by letting the music talk and didn't annouce who the producer was, suprising a fair few - in a cool way. Since then it's become a cult hit, but has only been available as a limited promo.

Until now that is.. David has decided to give Jack Is Back away for free as a thank you for all the support from clubbers and DJs these past few years.

And he chose his favourite download store to do it - Beatport.

01/07/08. The opening party for F*** Me I'm Famous with 2manyDJs set the standard so high, with David playing what he thought his best set in Ibiza ever, he wondered how they could top it.. 01/05/08. He beat that at Space, downtown Miami, where he was on the decks after-hours for almost 8. It's a legendary dirtbox club where anything goes.

Check out David at Ultrafest, a massive Dance music festival that happens in Miami at the same time as WMC. He's normally happiest behind the decks, but couldn't resist jumping over them so he could reach out right to the back of the huge, happy, crazy crowd. And did I mention hot?! It must have been 120 degrees in there – not that anyone seemed to care.



Since then, David has been to China and Japan for the firs time - we'll be interviewing him about that for you very soon.

And if you're in Holland for Queens Day, try and catch a glimpse of him playing to possibly his biggest crowd yet. His record is 250 000 but maybe more will turn up for the free party with Radio 538.

01/05/08. Dance America has got the Guetta bug!

« At first glance, there was nothing unusual brewing outside Pacha the recent Friday night David Guetta held a few thousand clubgoers in the palm of his hand. The lines customarily snaked down 46th Street in both directions, which meant my companion that evening and I needed to run the guest list gauntlet to avoid an hour-long entrance that had all the visible movement of grass growing. We made it inside without distress, although a subsequent line of people waiting inside to be confirmed could have tipped us off to the spectacle unfolding behind the final set of doors that remained our final barrier to entry.

Nah. We'd seen Pacha at its most boisterous many times over. We gladly took it all in stride, blithely looking forward to a few hours of global anthems from Paris' most affable export since… wait, Parisians are affable? » [more...]

His last four singles topped the billboard dance airplay chart, as we already told you, and now, Love Is Gone is one of the only dance records to cross onto pop radio in America! It's all over the airwaves across the county - and on fire in Miami and New York where he played recently on his sell out tour.

That's not to say that David has crossed over – quite the opposite. He's been killing the clubs there.
